Payment integrations

Friday afternoon, matching e-transfers to invoices. Again.

Recurring clients pay the highest card rate, Canadian shops get no bank option inside their software, and every payment taken elsewhere gets marked paid by hand. We move recurring clients to bank payments and build the matcher that ends the Friday hunt.

Before anyone sells you automation

Neither API can mark an invoice paid.

We read Housecall Pro's and Jobber's public APIs end to end on November 3, 2026. Both let an app read invoices and hear when one is paid. Neither lets an app record a payment taken somewhere else. Tools that promise it copy what the web app does behind the scenes, and break when the app changes.

So we build what the APIs allow: a matcher that does the hunting and leaves the office one click per invoice. If you want invoices that close themselves, that only happens in a system you own.

How the matcher works

Money in on one side, open invoices on the other.

Money in

  • PAD or ACH report
  • E-transfer notifications
  • Your processor's payouts

The matcher

Pairs each payment with an open invoice by amount, client, date and reference. Learns the regulars. Flags partials and strangers.

Example week, for illustration.

The office

One list instead of three statements. Mark the matched ones paid, call the two short clients, done before lunch.

In a system you own, this last step disappears.

What we build

The matcher

Reads open invoices from Housecall Pro or Jobber and deposits from your bank, PAD provider or processor. Pairs them by amount, client and reference, and hands the office one list: these are paid, these are short, these need a human.

Bank payments for recurring clients

Pre-authorized debit in Canada or ACH in the US for autopay clients, set up with the authorizations and notices the rules require. Cards stay for everyone else.

Interac e-transfer matching

For Canadian shops, e-transfer notifications read and paired with the right invoice by amount, sender and message, with the leftovers in a short queue.

Invoices that close themselves

Only in a system you own. Your processor, your bank payments, and a payment that marks its invoice paid the moment it lands. That is part of a Housecall Pro replacement.

Payment integrations FAQ

Housecall Pro: not for its in-app card button, which runs on its own processor. Jobber: you can connect Square, Authorize.net, PayPal or Stripe for online client payments, one at a time, while in-person card features stay on Jobber Payments. Either way you can take payments elsewhere and record them by hand.

Not through their official APIs. As of November 3, 2026, neither Housecall Pro's nor Jobber's public API has a way to record a payment. Tools that claim to do it copy what the web app does behind the scenes and can break on any update. We build a matcher that tells the office exactly which invoices to mark, or automatic closing inside a system you own.

On a $140 visit, card on file at 3.49% in Housecall Pro costs about $4.89. A US bank payment at 1% costs $1.40, and a Canadian PAD with Rotessa costs 50 cents plus a $25 monthly fee. At 300 visits a month that is the difference between roughly $1,460 and $175 a month in Canada. Your own mix decides the real number.

PAD fits recurring clients. Payments Canada's Rule H1 requires a PAD agreement and notice periods, and for one-off or sporadic debits it requires the client's authorization for every single debit, which cannot be waived. So PAD works for weekly and monthly clients, and cards or e-transfer stay for one-time jobs.

It is a small fixed-price build, quoted after we see one month of your invoices and deposits. It needs API access, which on Housecall Pro means the MAX plan. If the matching saves less office time than it costs, we will tell you.
