How the math works
ServiceTitan. Your per-tech rate times your tech count, times twelve, times the years, plus the setup fee once. There is a 12-month minimum and no month-to-month option, so a one-year view is the floor rather than a trial.
Jobber. Priced by team-size configuration, not a flat plan. Core is $21 a month for one user; Connect, Grow and Plus come in 1, 5, 10 and 15-user configs from $70 to $371 a month on annual billing. Extra seats are $29 each. We pick the cheapest configuration that fits your headcount, unless you tick the API box, which moves you to Plus.
Housecall Pro. Basic $59 for one user, Essentials $149 for up to five, MAX $299 for up to eight, then $75 for each user beyond that. API access is MAX only, so ticking the API box moves you to MAX.
Neither comparison includes payment-processing fees, add-on modules, or the staff time to run the thing, and none of the three is free of those. They land on both sides, so leaving them out keeps the gap honest rather than flattering either side.
This is not a like-for-like feature comparison, and it is not meant to be. ServiceTitan does more than either alternative. The gap is the question, not the answer: it is what the extra capability has to be worth to your shop.

ServiceTitan pricing questions
ServiceTitan is quote-only and does not publish pricing. Third-party 2026 estimates put it at roughly $245 to $500 per technician per month depending on tier, plus a one-time setup fee of about $5,000 to $15,000 for shops under 10 techs and $25,000 to $50,000 or more for larger ones. There is a 12-month minimum and no month-to-month option. Those are operator-reported figures, so treat them as a starting range and get a real quote.
It sells by quote. Pricing is put together per company and normally requires a sales demo before you get a number. That is common for enterprise field-service software, and it is why every figure in this calculator for ServiceTitan is an operator-reported estimate rather than a published rate.
For large HVAC, plumbing and electrical operations, roughly 20 techs and up, the capability can justify the spend. Under about 15 techs the total cost is harder to defend against a generalist platform. The honest test is the gap this calculator shows you: whatever ServiceTitan costs above the alternative is what its extra capability has to be worth to your shop every year.
For a 10-tech shop on mid-range assumptions, ServiceTitan runs many times the cost of Jobber over three years. ServiceTitan bills per technician and adds a one-time setup fee; Jobber bills per team-size configuration, from $21 a month for one user up to $371 a month for a 15-user Plus config, with extra seats at $29 each. The comparison narrows if you need API access, because that gates to Jobber's Plus plan.
The ones most often left out of a quote are the setup fee, the annual contract commitment, payment-processing fees, paid add-on modules, and the office time it takes to run a more complex system. Leaving early can also be expensive: termination charges in the $24,000 to $50,000 range have been reported by multiple customers in BBB complaints.
The Jobber and Housecall Pro figures come from their published pricing pages and were verified on August 19, 2026. The ServiceTitan figures are only as good as the per-tech rate and setup fee you type in, because the company does not publish prices. Use the numbers from your own quote and the result will be as accurate as your quote is.
